With Megzo Tiles, what matters always finds you.
Megzo zellige is a fine clay tile originating from the Fès region, crafted according to traditional expertise. Each tile is shaped, cut, and glazed entirely by hand, then naturally dried before being fired in optimized artisanal kilns. The glaze, applied manually, gives zellige its depth, brilliance, and unique nuances. Due to this handcrafted process, each piece presents slight variations in tone, shine, texture, or flatness—characteristics that define the authenticity of genuine zellige.
Production times typically range from 4 to 8 weeks, depending on colors, quantities, and season. Minimum orders are 10 m² for standard references and 20 m² for custom colors or prototypes. Customization includes reproducing vintage shades, developing new colors from a sample or photo, and the option to create a 1 to 2 m² prototype before full production.
Megzo zellige tiles are packed by hand to protect the glaze and edges. They are placed in cardboard boxes with paper dividers, then shipped on wrapped and secured pallets. Shipment is handled by specialized carriers experienced with fragile artisanal materials. Average delivery times are:
10–15 days in Europe,
3–6 weeks in North America.
Transport insurance is available upon request.
Megzo prepares samples by manually selecting representative tiles to faithfully illustrate the colors, textures, and natural variations of zellige and terracotta. Samples are carefully packed in reinforced cardboard boxes or protected cartons depending on the material, then shipped quickly within 5 to 7 days. Sample packs contain between 4 and 12 tiles, and sample fees are refunded or deducted with orders over 10 m² for zellige and 12 m² for terracotta.
